About Tea & Coffee China
Tea and Coffee China provides the international tea and coffee industry with the ideal B2B platform to access one of the fastest growing tea and coffee markets in the world. In the past four years, China’s coffee consumption per capita has doubled to 48 grams. Due to the fact that the per capita consumption of coffee in China is not significantly high, one might disregard China as a nation of tea drinkers. However, with a population of 1.3 billion, the per capita consumption becomes a little more attractive. It is evident that the demand for coffee in China is increasing and has a hugely promising demand.
As for the consumption of tea, China already boasts a very well established and attractive tea industry, dating back around 5,000 years of history, and is well supported by the fact that China accounts for 35% of the world’s total tea production. Thus, there are plenty of opportunities for international tea companies, as modern Chinese tea consumers are looking overseas for new tastes and aromas than those produced domestically.
