We are currently looking for a Senior Merchandiser (M/W)

Industry: Fashion Retail

Working location: Huangpu District, Shanghai

Profile: Chinese Native with fluent English. Has a Background with Textile and Fabric Industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Development follow-up, including fabric, trim development and proto till SMS follow-up
  • Fabric, trim purchasing and follow-up
  • Garment factory production follow-up, from PPS till shipment Vessel booking
  • Price negotiation, including fabric, trim and CM
  • Supplier sourcing (fabric, trim, garment Factory)
  • Daily Incident management & solution
  • Efficient communication with customers and quick response to customer’s need
  • QC file and factory files translation, preparation
  • Factory management, from development till production


Qualifications:

  • University Education background with textiles, garments or international trade relevant majors;
  • 5-8 years related working experience
  • Fluent in Oral and written English
  • Fluent in Oral and written Japanese Language is a plus for our Japanese Clients but not mandatory
  • Trading company (OEM process) preferred
  • Middle high-end woven lady’s wear experience preferred

Job Description
Job Title: Sales Manager China (m/f/d)

Reports to: Solid: Managing Director China / Dotted: Group Sales Director

Location: Greater Shanghai Area, China

Profile: An experienced and energetic sales and account manager with a proven track record of sales management and business growth B2B in the consumer packaging industry, preferably with aerosol industry experience. An excellent communicator and strong team player, able to adopt a hands-on approach with external and internal customers. A self-starter able to support a high level of business travel (30 to 50%) primarily in China and APAC but with some EMEA travels, too. Capable of thinking strategically and operating tactically in order to deliver sales growth targets.

Key Accountabilities and objectives:

  • Achieve and exceed budgeted sales targets
  • Build, manage, develop, and grow a local/regional portfolio of customer accounts
  • Build strong, long term relationships with the (new) key aerosol valve customers of the region
  • Identify new business opportunities and deepen relationships at existing customers
  • Provide accurate customer sales forecasts
  • Maintain a high level of presence at key customers
  • Implement Group and regional sales, marketing and pricing strategies as requested
  • Gather market and competitor intelligence to help define product mix and pricing strategies
  • Work to promote the full range of company products in China/APAC

Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar customer-oriented role in China
  • Knowledge of the aerosol industry and associated products would be a distinct advantage.
  • A technical or technical product sales background and confident selling technically oriented products is essential
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Understands the consumer packaging industry and customer purchasing drivers
  • Well-developed selling skills and customer relationship management expertise
  • Proven track record of new sales and business development
  • IT literate – Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as ERP systems
  • Data rational and good numeracy skills
  • Fluent in Chinese and English language, both written and spoken
  • Full driving License
